Another body for the fire...

Well, I have resigned to the fact that ZomCast will never come back in the way it was (I was committed, but the other two were not). I had been entertaining the idea of having ZomCast a podcast the has a bunch of zombie short stories, but it would end up being me just reading them (once again, I did not want to do this by myself). I have been asked to do a news segment for Dr. Pus's Library of the Living Dead podcast and so I will see how this goes (sometimes, there is not enough news from week to week). Never the less, I am excited to be on someone else's show, so wish me luck!
The good news is that a zombie video cast has gone up and I am very excited to see what they will be like. They are called The Dead Report. See, with more and more zombie shows popping up, the ZomCast is pretty much not needed.0

It has been fun, but we gotta go....

Hey everyone. We have been trying to get out another episode for the past two weeks, but despite our best efforts it is just not working (there are many reasons for each one of us).
Thank you: to Sarah and Nev for encouraging me to start this up, Rafael for your great story, Fried Geek for your story and help, Gallagher for your stories and for putting up with me, to all the podcasts that played our promos, to everyone who wrote in to tell us nice and not so nice things, to Root Rot for your support, to my wife for putting up with all of this, even though the only zombie movie you ever liked was Shawn of the Dead, to Emily for joining us and adding your wonderful voice to the show, to Patrick for making the show 100% better, to the zomcast choral society, to Lord Old Skull, to Badhammer, to Phazedout of the Phazecast and to everyone who listened. So many people contributed to this, so I am very sorry if we missed anyone.
We might be back, we might not. This web site will at least be up for a few months.
Wear heavy gloves and aim for the head.

Episode 6: LONGER, STRONGER & MORE DRUNK!!!

For this episode, the ladies of ZomCast decide to drop by for slumber party, the news goes on for way too long, Dustin reviews Severed: Forest of the Dead, we all review a game called ZOMBIES!!!, give survival tips on fortifying your apartment complex, Night of the Living Galaghar shares part 1 of his story "The Thaw," and Patrick admits he has been faking it all this time.
About 30 seconds of the beginning (right before the news) was cut out for some reason and I am very sorry (GarageBand still has some problems).
Thank you everyone for putting up with us. We promise to investigate that "rabies incident" in Del City this week and report back to you guys for the next episode.

The Zombie Apocalypes and You

Happy New Year fellow zombie hunters! We will be back in a week or so and it will be all about getting a head start on the zom-pocalypse. In the coming episodes we will have lots of survival tips, book & movie reviews, game reviews like "All Flesh Must be Eaten" and the "Army of Darkness Card game" (and other free on-line RPG games). We will be adding a few new segments like "Ask a Crazy NRA Guy" and "Listener Feedback" ( please e-mail us at: zomcast@cox.net ). So stay tuned!

Here are pictures of Mrs. of the Dead and I at the annual "Gamers & Goths New Year's Party" in Dallas, Texas. Guess what we came as? The sad thing about the party was all of the people who came as "gamers" were too lazy to dress up and came as themselves (except for "Dungeon Master Russell" in his cape and aviator hat). We heard more Weird Al Yankovic than we could handle (one song is all we can handle). Thank god there was Bauhaus' music to counter it.

Episode 4: A Very Zombie Christmas Part 2

The Ladies of ZomCast take over in our second part to "A Very Zombie Christmas." We have part 2 of Rafael Tehan's story "The Stench," and a short story by the Fried Geek called "Zombie Santa." Our very own Patrick O'Deadly reads one of his stories called "Tim the Zombie Killer."
WARNING! This episode contains lots and lots of violence! Of course it is aimed mostly at me, but Patrick gets a few bites of a back-hand sandwich too.

Hello everyone! It looks like I have a new co-host: Patrick O'Deadly. He will be joining us on the next episode, which happens to be our Christmas episode. It's here! Sorry for the delay! In this episode we have plenty of zombie movie announcements, reporting from a "zombie outbreak," two free games (Xombie RPG & Dawn of the Dead board game), I talk with my state rep and give thanks to all those who supported the first episode.
I seem to be limited to 34 minutes of recording time, so I am sorry that I did not read the e-mails and feedback (I will shorten the intro next time).
